Wedding Mass in St. Michael church Kager

St. Michael in Kager

After an extensive search we found our wedding church close to the house of Florian's parents: The Romanesque chapel St. Michael in the hamlet Kager in the north-west of Regensburg. If you want to learn more about the history of this beautiful church built in the 11th century, follow this Link.

The wedding ceremony will commence at one o'clock in the afternoon, beforehand you can enjoy the view into the vally of the Danube. To our great joy, Abbot Emmeram Kränkl from St. Stephan monastery in Augsburg, who once baptized Florian, is going to celebrate the wedding Mass for us.

Good weather conditions prevailing we will enjoy a short walk over the corn fields behind the church towards Aichahof. The walk will take us roughly half an hour and we recommend sturdy shoes (no walking boots needed!). The country road winds out of the village of Kager through colza and corn fields up to Aichahof. From there it's just a few meters to the house of Florian's parents.

 Walk to Aichahof

At Aichahof we would like to clink glasses with you before we all finish off the wedding cake. In dry weather we will celebrate in the garden tent at the Aichahof, in the unlikely and unwanted case of continuing rainfalls we depart earlier to Haus Heuport.
